After a three-mile walk this weekend under the magnolias, cherry blossoms, and various other Spring blooms, I couldnāt help but feel my energy lifting and my mood shifting. Thereās something about the beginning of Spring that ignites a joy that might have gotten lost a bit during those dark, winter months.
I think about how connected I feel to nature and how powerful it can be. I think about how each of those trees I walked under, were once bare. But, nature runs its course and without fail, it shows up and shows out every year. Nature has taught me patience once I started to look at my surroundings in a more intentional way. Thereās a trust that nature has in itself during every cycle and thereās so much we can learn..
Hereās a poem I wrote that relates to the way nature has nurtured me throughout the years.
.:Thank you for taking the time to listen to my heart:.

Nature nurtures the child in me. A student of earth and a newfound trustā Dust in the wind spins and shifts fear to bear witness with wide eyes. Pluck the weeds That suck the sincerity From this yearās harvest. Observe the resilience; A behind-the-scenes sort of brilliance. When the sun kisses the green growth that has been dormant for past seasons. Soak the soil with gratitude; Enrich it with affirmations; Speak sweet revelations Without any expectations. Roots stay firm The cycle will turn And nature will nurture me No matter where the sun burns.
