Over the years I’ve tried different ways to incorporate my paintings with my poetry and I feel really proud of this one.
In January, I posted a painting I did with acrylics and painter’s tape on black canvas, accompanied with a poem, entitled, Rose Covered Roads. Since then, I have worked more on the painting and finally found a beautiful way to join my poem on the canvas.
Let me know what you think! Stay tuned for more canvas and poetry collaborations over the spring and summer months.
:.Thank you for taking the time to listen to my heart:.

Twists & turns lead to crossroads of thought. Perpendicular paradigms in my peripheral view. Wander left and get lost for a moment. Mosey past moss-covered vines swirling upwards towards nurturing. Fade far away from the corners of comparison and guilt. I’ve built rose covered roads to lead me back home. A wrong turn is the right choice for the lesson to be learned. I’m not trying to hang out on the same tired corner for long. I must be on my way to where the sunflowers gaze at the moon and bow to the earth for holding her with such grace.
